Welcome to the home of the Tempe High Water Buffaloes

A small but dedicated group of water buffaloes once again works to exceed last year's attempt to build and compete in NURC.

A word about controls: in 2009 and 2010 we experimented with using a Wiimote for control of the bot; it tested effective both on a land-based frame as well as in the underwater environment, but this year we elected to return to a Logitech controller.

In the area of frame construction, we continue experimenting with the use of 80/20 extruded metal for framing. This has given us great flexibilty in design and fabrication and will be used once again for one of the two bots we are creating this year, the first being "Over Seer", our surface scout. The second bot, which will be our primary recovery vehicle, is called "Under Dog".
